Atelier · Commission

One object.
Made for one space.

The Atelier programme is Voxel Forge's commission track for singular sculptural objects. Each commission begins with a brief from one client: typically an architect, an interior lead, or a collector working on a specific space. The studio reads that brief as a spatial and material problem. What returns is not a product selection but a proposal: one object, designed and produced for a single space.

Process

  1. 01

    Brief

The brief describes the space, the object's intended position, and any dimensional or material constraints. The studio reads it as a set of spatial conditions.

  2. 02

    Studio response

The studio returns a written response covering feasibility, a direction for materials, and an indicative timeline. If the commission is viable, this response opens the working conversation.

  3. 03

    Production

Material selection is finalised before production begins. Each Atelier commission is produced as a single object: no editions, no multiples. The studio maintains involvement through each production stage.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Each object ships with documentation covering materials, production method, and installation guidance where relevant. Packaging is protective and purpose-built for the object's geometry.

Scope

Capability

Atelier commissions are precision 3D-printed sculptural objects, produced to a single brief. The programme accommodates a range of scales, from tabletop to floor-standing, and works across the material vocabulary of the studio's current production capability. Objects are designed in-house, from the brief to the final geometry. Form is not drawn from an existing catalogue. Every dimension, surface texture, and structural decision responds to the specific brief.
